Rapala Claptail

Introduction

The Rapala Claptail topwater lure delivers aggressive surface action and unmatched noise to trigger explosive strikes from bass and other freshwater predators. Designed by Rapala, this innovative prop bait features a unique dual-blade system that creates a loud clapping sound and intense surface disturbance, drawing fish from long distances.

Built with a tail-down design for consistent blade rotation, the Claptail produces a steady, attention-grabbing action even at slower retrieves. Its balanced body ensures long casting performance, while premium treble hooks with swiveling hangers help keep fish pinned during intense fights.

Perfect for warm water conditions, shallow flats, grass edges, and low-light fishing, the Rapala Claptail excels when fish are actively feeding on the surface. Whether retrieved steadily or worked with pauses and speed changes, this topwater lure delivers reliable action and aggressive reaction strikes.
